Last Thursday I went as a citizen to Full Council which among other subjects approved the privatization of the management of the nursing home. To which I say the following:
1 .- The residence building has cost over 400 million pesetas, which been funded with money from the taxpayers', so I think an "outrageous" that management is delivered to a private company. With the citizens' money and built the residence is given to a private to earn money. The award-privatization is nothing more and nothing less than 25years. If the people you vote for 4 years and you only have 6 months of term, as you can allot for 25 years, you are "tying hands and feet" to the following six corporations.
2 .- One of the objectives of the councils is to provide services to non-profit citizens, however the purpose of private enterprise is making money. Quality of service be better if well maintained by the City Council is a non-profit.
3 .- The management staff will be logically private enterprise, so it does not guarantee the creation of jobs in town, as the company is free to hire workers who are not the people, is not bound to take stock of work or staff turnover. Working hours and remuneration will put the company etc ...
4 .- It is still clear that local politicians Flaunt ALL FOR MY PEOPLE, and I add, but without my people. The City Council made a consultation to change the fair site, why do not you consult the people now?.
5 .- I am outraged and I think if the money was yours and not the taxpayers' actuaríais otherwise.
6 .- Ponder, consult the people and addressed.
7 .- It seems also plan to privatize the management of the Handicapped Private, Day Care, La Traviesa .... Please think of truth in El Pueblo,
