Psalm 46:1 God is our refuge and strength, present help in trouble.
Aid which does not come when we need it soon. The anchor abandoned house, worth nothing to the sailor at the time of the storm, the money that once owned the debtor to no good when it spreads lawsuit against him. Few earthly aid may be called soon : normally when there are far to be sought, when used, and even further after use. Instead God is Dad soon when we seek; soon when we need him, and soon when we have experienced help.
