Luke 18:14 I tell you this man went down to his house justified but it does not, because everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, but he who humbles himself will be exalted.
Luke 14:11 For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted.
persuasive words of the master in this parable is addressed to the Pharisees, the religious today who trust in themselves, in their spiritual works, believing that their work can justified to receive a blessing of the Kingdom, these Pharisees who despised the Lord tells what they felt they were wrong in their eyes, supposedly in the eyes of God, today the weak brethren who struggle with their weaknesses and ask God Father help them get out of that weakness.
Unfortunately today the golden words of this parable of our Lord Jesus Brother are continually repeating Christian Church, sorry to say but it is real, but pray fasted 3.5 hours and not 21 days or do not watch as many days, Dad will not be blessed by God, are statements of many modern day Pharisees, but you tell me, brother, you're implying that we should not pray, fast, monitor, read the writing, meditating on it, make social work ... No, not what I mean, is the manipulation of spiritual benefits, was and will be highlighted by our Lord, the Lord was not against the benefits of prayer, fasting, vigil, but in the handling and the pride of doing it and believe more just and blessed others through these benefits are by His grace.
Dad I want to clarify that God is not manipulated by us and all these rites offered to receive spiritual blessing, for His good pleasure, His grace and mercy that has sustained us and blessed us through our Lord Jesus Christ (Ephesians 1:3). He will continue being God, without our prayer, fasting, vigil. All these rituals (habits) are for our spiritual edification and strengthening and not to manipulate to a request for the additions, the additions are the result of recognizing, accepting and obeying, that we are sons by grace and not by our works, we give ourselves to Him through these rites of gratitude and not by interest or fear, if indeed we are children of the Lord, we are obedient and humble, the son recognizes his mistakes and is also facing its corruption and seeks help from his father, the child is weak in solidarity with their brothers and help, not criticize, but to build your style of life.
Dear readers, that this day come to the Lord's presence, confident that he will never reject us for our weaknesses and corruption, the Lord always helps us to move forward and strengthen us in His Grace. His grace impels us to consecrate ourselves to Him, so we can be of help to others with our modeling.
